Team Alps Accommodation: new faces, new season, new fun!

The wait is soon to be over folks: only three more sleeps until the official start to the Grand Massif’s winter season 2015! A brand new team is eagerly awaiting your arrival here at Alps Accommodation. Of course there are still the familiar faces of Paul, Hayley and Barbs in Tom and Ali’s crew but there’s a lively bunch of young seasonnaires who are very much looking forward to meeting you too. And they have all been working very hard this past couple of weeks making sure everything will be tip top for your arrival.

There’s the lovely Emily and Eileen who will be looking after you at Chalet and Apartment Moccand, and of course the Mazot this year. There, you will be welcomed with nothing but warmth and smiles from these bubbly, Aussie gals. Great friends for more than ten years now, these two have always got a tale to tell – be it of brushes with fame or incidents on Parisian trains. Be sure to ask them for a story so you too can share their smile. Trust me; these girls will make you laugh!

Our other Aussie duo, Matt and Amy, will be meeting and greeting guests all across the resort. This energetic couple chose Samoëns as the first stop on their year-long adventure of Europe – the great getaway as Matt puts it. And they couldn’t be happier to be here this season. “It’s like a fantasy land!” was Amy’s reaction. The picturesque village of Samoëns is certainly a change from the outback landscapes she’s used to – Amy once worked as a Jillaroo on a cattle station in the Kimberleys!! Matt’s a little more familiar with the snow scene having done a season in Canada. We suspect this easy-going, surfer-boy will be the go-to -guy for top tips on where to ride this season. He’s already had a play up at Samoëns 1600 and he can’t wait to get back up there.

Oriel and Jack are our two youngest team members. They are the artists of the group and have come to us from just across the English Channel. Oriel, who’s half French, is in fact a trained vocalist and Jack produces music. As you can imagine such complementary skills mean this pair make a great team. And they’ve already found an artistic outlet in their work as property assistants at Alps Accommodation: preparing absolutely gorgeous chalets and apartments for your arrival! Be sure to keep an eye out for Oriel’s clever towel arrangements.

Another pair of antipodeans to the team is our New Zealand contingent of Matt and Sam - or the “Kiwi Cowboys” as they prefer to be known. This pair has been mates since they were 12 and they really make a great team. There’s nothing they can’t put their hands to: no maintenance job too big and certainly no mountain too high! The lads joined us back in November and in that time they’ve really been making the most of their time in Samoëns while doing a smashing job redecorating some of our apartments and chalets. We’re certainly happy to have this friendly pair of Bob the Builders on the maintenance team this year.

We really are lucky to have such an out-going and diverse group with us this year. We can’t wait for you to meet them. So, if you’ve not already booked or started thinking about your 2015 winter adventure, then be sure to get in touch. We have some amazing deals on offer, including 50% off some of our most prestigious chalets in January, you really won’t want to miss out.

On behalf of all the Alps Accommodation team a very warm welcome. We look forward to seeing you in the Grand Massif soon.
