Chalet la Cascade is a newly built property that can accommodate up to 10 people on three levels. There are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a shower room, a downstairs toilet, a covered patio and a garden. There are stunning mountain views from all windows. The chalet, covering 76m2, has been highly praised for being exceptionally well equipped, in an excellent location and beautifully decorated. Guests have pointed out the care taken by the owners to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for families and other groups.
The chalet is in a terrace of 4 set among other typical Savoyard buildings at the end of a quiet cul de sac. An easy, 7 minute, flat walk along the path following the old railway line brings you to the village centre with its many restaurants, shops and bars. The ski bus is 2 minutes walk from the chalet – running every 15 minutes at peak times. Alternatively, the Grand Massif Express Gondola is an easy 10 minute walk, and if you chose to use one of our partner rental shops, ski equipment storage is available at the top or bottom of the ski lift.
The heart of the chalet is a log fire surrounded by comfortable seating for everyone.
Next to the fire is a wide-screen TV that offers UK Freeview, French TNT Gratuite, and many more channels. Look through the extensive collection of DVDs and CDs to see if anything takes your fancy.
High speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the chalet. Under the stairs there is a lap-top friendly desk that has four UK power sockets for guests’ chargers and a direct Ethernet connection to the router.
Guests are invited to browse the wide selection of books. If you want to explore, there are local maps and guide books. For entertainment, there are a number of family board games.
The dining table seats 10 people, who can enjoy the cooking produced with the kitchen’s exceptional “Batterie de Cuisine” which includes a food processor and an electric hand whisk.
When the sun shines, the patio with an electric sun awning, table and chairs, provides extra living space – even in late winter-season. The garage containing two bikes and some children’s sledges are all available for guests’ use.
This property is privately owned and has been carefully selected to be in Alps Accommodation’s premier portfolio. It has a Saturday changeover day, however in low season and for last minute bookings, flexible arrival day and length of stay may be available. Contact us for more information.

Samoëns’ bustling village centre is an easy, 7-minute walk away along a flat path that follows the old railway line. Visit the many shops, bars and restaurants, stroll through the botanical gardens, or admire the picturesque medieval town square with its beautiful church, ancient buildings and busy Wednesday morning market. There is also a small supermarket with bakery a mere 5-minute walk from the chalet – perfect for getting your freshly baked baguette and croissants for breakfast!
In winter, the free ski bus leaves from a stop just 2-minutes from the chalet. Running approximately every 15 minutes at peak times, you are guaranteed quick and easy access to the main Grand Massif Express lift and our impressive ski domain. Just a snowball’s throw from the chalet you will also find some excellent cross-country skiing terrain (dependent on snow conditions). These trails form a vast network of Nordic trails that run all up and down the valley. The newly built ice-skating rink is little more than a 10-minute walk from the chalet, offering guests yet another favourite winter pastime.
In the summer months a number of walking and mountain bike trails can be accessed within minutes of the property. The GR5, a long distance footpath stretching from the Hook of Holland to Nice, passes close to the chalet along the banks of the Giffre river. It is just one of many walks, long or short, that can be enjoyed from the front door of the chalet. The Grand Massif Express lift is also open throughout July and August, providing guests with access to even more hiking and biking options. Then there is the beautiful Bois Aux Dames lakes and leisure facility with swimming pools, tennis courts, golf driving range, horse riding and more, which is also within easy walking distance of the chalet – approximately 10 to 15-minutes.

Situated right next door is Chalet Lys Martagon, providing additional accommodation for larger groups of families holidaying together.
Chalet La Cascade is a very comfortable and well-equipped chalet. Our arrival time was a bit uncertain since we were walking in from Evian but the in-resort service was flexible enough to cope. The chalet was the perfect place to relax after our somewhat strenuous journey, and we very much appreciated the bottle of wine in the welcome pack.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Samoens and our time in Chalet La Cascade. The property was comfortable, clean, well equipped and in a good position for both the town and ski buses. We would happily return and recommend both the property and Alps Accommodation highly.

Brilliant location and chalet. We only had one week and didn’t appreciate the full potential Samoens has to offer for walks and biking until we arrived! Recommend hiring full suspension mountain bikes but be wary of a lack of trail/route markers. Never eaten so much cheese and great food in town. Le bout du Monde at the end of the valley and the route up to the chalet/refuges is an absolute must!

The accommodation - La Cascade - was very good. An immense amount of "stuff" in the chalet most of it of great use especially the DVDs, maps, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, games, Torches, cooking utensils, pots and pans etc. Obviously a great deal of careful thought has been put into the chalet by the owners and a true sense, in their introductory notes, of wanting guests to enjoy themselves to the full.

Very good chalet with everything we needed. Really appreciated beds being made up/towels and toiletries as well as kitchen stuff e.g. dishwasher tabs etc. Great to have 2 bikes to nip in and out of Samoens/ down to pool etc. Thank you for great accommodation.
