No.1 Chalet L’Orlaya sits in a prime location just 6 minutes’ flat walk from Samoens village centre, while finding itself in a tranquil and particularly scenic position below the stunning Criou mountain. The apartment boasts an excellent ground floor location on the corner of the development itself, offering a triple aspect and providing a large sunny terrace with access to private and communal gardens.  Here you will also find your very own hot tub, open all year, with wonderful views over open farmland to distant hamlets and mountains of the Grand Massif.

A ski bus stop, providing a free and regular service, is just 200m away.  Guests can enjoy a holiday car free, however a private underground locked garage, and further exterior parking area is available. Additionally, a private cave is available with ski boot warmers and ski/snowboard racks which add to the convenience and luxury of the apartment. The underground parking area also has a room reserved for bike storage for the exclusive use of guests in the Chalet.

No.1 Chalet L’Orlaya is accessed via its own private entrance on the ground floor of this new and prestigious development. The hallway area offers great storage for outdoor clothing, while a long corridor tempts you towards the impressive open plan spacious living, dining and kitchen areas. This convivial space enjoys truly wonderful views from large patio doors which give access to the terrace and hot tub. In the dining area, a large wooden table is surrounded by 8 comfy and elegant chairs and provides the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends and family.

The contemporary style kitchen comes fully equipped with quality items including a full size fan oven and induction hob, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, and microwave. Guests will appreciate the drinks station which includes a Nespresso coffee machine and the island unit ensures great storage and further work surface space.  

The living area is lovely and spacious and comes complete with a huge and comfortable corner sofa, which benefits from more wonderful views towards the ski area of the Grand Massif. A stylish wooden entertainment unit, with matching coffee table, hosts a large Samsung HD LED TV while free Wi-Fi is available.

A large storage cupboard in the living area hosts a combined washing machine and dryer.

No.1 Chalet L’Orlaya offers 3 spacious ensuite bedrooms which have been appointed to a very high standard.  Each feature an attractive blend of wooden furniture and fresh luxurious Egyptian cotton linen and modern alpine soft furnishings. The rooms are complete with floor to ceiling built-in wardrobes offering excellent storage space for all guests to unpack and immediately feel comfortable.

Bedroom 1 is a wonderfully spacious master bedroom featuring a large and contemporary ensuite bathroom. From the comfy king size bed, enjoy spectacular views from east facing patio doors which lead out to the private and communal gardens. The stylish ensuite bathroom features a large bath with integrated shower, vanity unit with sink, towel radiator and WC.

Bedroom 2 is another spacious modern ensuite bedroom featuring a luxurious king size bed which can also be configured as a twin on request. The room enjoys fabulous views towards the famous cliffs of the Criou mountain. The ensuite bathroom features a shower, vanity unit with sink and towel radiator. A large wardrobe is available directly outside the bedroom.

Bedroom 3 is comfortable room which again can be arranged in a king or twin configuration. Enjoy fabulous views towards the impressive mountains above the Sixt National Park from patio doors which also give access to the gardens. The ensuite bathroom features a shower, vanity unit with sink and a towel radiator.

A double sofa bed in the living area provides a fourth sleeping area, and allows the apartment to sleep up to 8 people. A group size of 8 must include some children. If just adults the maximum group size is 6.

A separate WC is accessed from the hallway.



One of the highlights of No. 1 Chalet L’Orlaya is a wonderful hot tub, for your very own private use, which enjoys stunning views over open farmland which surrounds the apartment. The tub is located on a large and sunny private 18m2 terrace which enjoys the same fantastic views. Additional communal gardens surrounding the residence provide a great area to be enjoyed by kids and adults alike.

The residence itself has been constructed with an attractive blend of wood and stone, with quality at every turn.  The apartment offers an underground cave with luxurious boot dryers, while a private locked garage is accessed by a conveniently heated entrance ramp.

No.1 Chalet L’Orlaya boasts an enviable and peaceful location on the edge of Samoens, yet it remains just 6 minutes’ walk from the historic medieval village centre. Located on the edge of the development, the apartment enjoys unspoilt views over open farm land to the distant hamlets of unspoilt Vallons. Enjoy wonderful views of the Le Criou, Samoens picture perfect mountain, as it towers dramatically behind the apartment.

The closest ski bus stop, offers a free and regular service and is just 200m from the apartment, will take you to the Grand Massif Express Gondola in Samoens. This offers a speedy link directly to Samoens 1600m and the rest of the Grand Massif ski area. Alternatively, a large car park provides free parking directly outside the same lift. For the energetic a walk of around 15 minutes takes you to the gondola. Samoens huge ice rink, a firm family favourite, is just over 10 minutes’ walk. Plus even closer is access to cross country skiing trails.

For those visiting in the spring, summer and autumn the apartment is equally well located. There are an abundance of excellent walking trails available close by, including those leading to the summit of the famous Criou mountain as well as gentle trails following the scenic Giffre river. The popular lakes of Samoens, with outdoor swimming pool and numerous surrounding activities are within walking distance. Cyclists will enjoy the summer downhill trails from the Grand Massif lifts as well as following part of the often used Tour de France route up to the Col de Joux – a challenging 1000m climb for 12km from the Samoens village centre.
