Apartment Bois de Lune is a stylish and contemporary 3/4 bedroom loft style chalet apartment, sleeping 8 to 10, in a prime location within the centre of Samoens. This totally unique luxury property offers 110m2 of spacious split level living, having been newly renovated in 2015 to an exceptional standard. Its central location is ideal for year round holidays with a ski bus stop, offering a free and regular service within 50 metres, and the historic village centre a 2 minute stroll. Alternatively, the Grand Massif Express Gondola is an easy 10 minute walk, and if you chose to use one of our partner rental shops, ski equipment storage is available at the top or bottom of the ski lift.  The apartment is also 5 minutes flat walk from the beautiful lakes with cross country skiing, the leisure centre, children's play park, plus the swimming pools open during the summer.

The property forms part of a small farmhouse style residence of just a handful of luxurious apartments.  It boasts an upper south facing position, where the stunning mountain and valley views, can be enjoyed without leaving the comfort of the apartment or from the large furnished terrace.  Its sunny aspect and double height, provide a wonderfully light and spacious environment for groups and families to enjoy.

The owners have furnished the property thoughtfully to the very highest quality and detail, with luxury furnishings at every turn. Extras such as super king size beds (180cm wide by 200m long), high quality mattresses, under floor heating throughout and high quality kitchen appliances to name just a few ensures maximum comfort throughout. With a young family of their own, the owners have made it easy for people with children to take a holiday there. Items such as push chairs, play mats, cribs highchairs, and kids toys, games, books and DVDs have been provided.

A closed private garage provides parking for one car, with storage for skis and bikes. Further outdoor private parking spaces are available next to the garage.

This property is privately owned and has been carefully selected to be in Alps Accommodation’s premier portfolio. It has a Saturday changeover day, however in low season and for last minute bookings, flexible arrival day and length of stay may be available. Contact us for more information.

Description

You enter this property via your own private entrance and staircase leading directly into the impressive open plan living, dining and kitchen area. A high ceiling, much of which is double height, plus the large south facing windows, generate a bright, spacious and uplifting atmosphere. Rustic features and exposed beams have been fused with modern touches to create a fabulous apartment which has been lovingly finished by the owners. The spacious and contemporary kitchen area is fully equipped with the highest quality appliances offering a touch of luxury. A large fridge freezer, electric hob, full size oven, great storage, vast work surface space, and most importantly, a separate drinks fridge mean time spent in the kitchen is no longer a chore. Directly opposite, beneath a stylish height adjustable light, sits a large dining table which can comfortably seat up to 10 people in the fully extended position.

In the living area guests can relax in two deep comfortable sofas which take centre stage in this delightful open plan area. Entertainment is provided by a large LCD TV, satellite TV, Blu-Ray player, free Wi-Fi, and board/card games. Hovering above all of this, and nestled in between rustic beams in the eaves is a fantastic mezzanine area offering a snug/second living area alongside a quiet study with desk. The snug offers a large LCD TV with games console and games, and a comfortable sofa bed is also available. A WC can be found on this level.

Guests have the convenience of a utility room containing a separate washing machine and dryer.

Apartment Bois de Lune boasts three bright and spacious bedrooms, each featuring lovely views and modern and high quality beds, mattresses and linen, as well as plenty of storage.

Bedroom one is the ensuite master bedroom, offering guests the absolute luxury of a super king size bed (180cm x 200cm) with ample storage both in the bedroom and directly outside the bedroom. The ensuite bathroom consists of a large built in shower, vanity unit with a modern stone sink, towel radiator and WC. Bedroom two is again a light and spacious bedroom with another super king size bed (180cm x 200cm) and plenty of storage. Great views can be enjoyed towards the famous Le Criou mountain. Bedroom three is a quad bedroom with two full size bunk beds meaning a comfortable nights sleep for adults and kids alike. Located next to bedroom one and three is a family bathroom offering a large shower, vanity unit with stone sink, towel radiator and WC.

On the mezzanine level a double sofa bed (140cm x 200cm) allows the flexibility of a cosy fourth sleeping area, making the apartment sleep 10 in comfort, if there are children in the group.  A further WC can also be found on this level.

Apartment Bois de Lune offers a large sunny south facing balcony, covered by an overhanging roof, it means whatever the weather, guests can grab a glass of wine and take in fantastic views of distant mountains, valley and ski pistes. A large table and chairs are provided as well as deck chairs and a high quality gas BBQ.

Behind the apartment is private closed garage offering parking for one car, as well as ski and bike storage. Further private parking is available directly outside the garage.

Apartment Bois de Lune boats a truly ideal location for holidays in Samoëns at any time of the year.

A ski bus stop is located directly opposite the apartment. The free and efficient service provides transport to the Grand Massif Express lift and access to our impressive skiing domain during the winter months. The town’s impressive, competition standard ice skating complex is also only a few hundred metres from the apartment. Enjoy another favourite winter pastime and hit the ice, or catch one of the regular ice hockey matches.

In the summer months, a 5-minute, flat walk takes guests to Samoëns' outdoor swimming pool with adjacent lakes, tennis courts, adventure park, golf driving range, horse riding, parapenting and much more. The Grand Massif Express lift is also open throughout July and August, providing guests with access to a number of alpine, walking trails, some excellent downhill mountain biking terrain, and of course the stunning scenery of the mountains during the height of summer.

The apartment finds itself less than a 2-minute walk from the historic village centre with the nearest restaurants, bars and shops just 100m away. There is also a large supermarket just a short drive or a flat, 10 to 15-minute walk away. Here, you will also find the River Bowl bowling alley with its very own restaurant and bar, which is open year round.

We have had a wonderful time, excellent skiing and such a lovely apartment, thank you. Best one yet that we've stayed in with Alps Accommodation, and we've stayed in a lot. Extremely spacious, very modern and very well-equipped for cooking, cleaning and for children. Ideally situated for the village, the gondola and the Carrefour supermarket - no transport needed.

About the owner

We first visited Samoens in August 2014 and fell in love with the town and its beautiful surroundings at first sight. We bought the apartment in November 2014, and have worked hard to create a modern, comfortable family home away from home with everything you could possible need. After two and half years in Switzerland, we are now based in Edinburgh but return to the mountains when we can - although never as much as we would like! Along with our two small boys we have enjoyed spending time in Samoens, taking advantage of the fantastic hiking, biking and skiing, and have become experts on the delicious croissants and French wine. Although we will not be in Samoens during your stay, our fantastic resort managers will be on hand to assist you with everything you need. We hope you enjoy your time in Samoens! Peter and Karen
