Looking across at La Cabine from the garden, with the backdrop of the Criou mountain, you will be drawn inside to see what delights are on offer. Enter the living room via the covered porch area equipped with a teak chair and logs, and as you step inside the charm and comfort of the chalet is immediately evident. The deep and comfy velvet sofa sits beside the log burner with a tall attractive built in log store. The original wooden beams of the Mazot structure, and different old and new styles and textures of wood, blend with the contemporary fittings. Furry throws in each room offer that bit of extra luxury and decadence along with the faux fur bean bag or stool.
In the bright open plan living area, there is the dining table seating 4 people, which incorporates modern chairs with the old wooden table. Next to the dining area is the satellite TV with UK and French channels, Bluetooth sound bar, PS4 and games and a selection of books and games for your enjoyment. The chalet also has free Wi-Fi throughout. Opposite is the soft dark grey 3 seater sofa, which can be converted into a double bed to provide flexible sleeping arrangements.
The separate kitchen has a modern cabin feel, with plenty of original wood, which contrasts with the modern, bright and fresh white cabinets and grey worktop. The kitchen comes fully equipped with dishwasher, full size oven and ceramic hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and ample cooking and serving equipment. A Nespresso machine and raclette machine are also provided. This is a lovely sunny room, where you can glimpse at the sun rise to the east while making breakfast, or enjoy the south facing aspect of the second double window.
Stairs lead from the living area, up to the 2 bedrooms. The first a master king size bedroom and the second is a small loft style bedroom with twin beds and plenty of storage.
A heated utility room provides excellent ski and outdoor items storage, plus houses the washer dryer, iron and ironing board. A cot and high chair are available on request.
Due to the nature of the old original Mazot/cabin structure, please note that the stairs up to the bedrooms are steeper than your average stairs, but there is of course a chunky handrail and we can provide a stair-gate for families with young kids. Please see images 14 and 18, which shows the hallway and stairs. In addition there are lower than normal doorways leading into the 2 bedrooms.
