Chalet Moccand and The Mazot

In Chalet Moccand, the bright open-plan lounge provides plenty of space for everyone to relax, with three deep and comfortable sofas gathered around a large log fire. Entertainment includes a Smart TV, games console, Bluetooth speaker, books and board games, while Wi-Fi is available throughout.

For younger guests – and competitive adults – the dedicated games room on the lower level is a real highlight, with pool table, table football, darts, karaoke machine, TV and games console.

The spacious dining area features a huge wooden dining table, making it easy for the whole group to dine together. Alongside it, the superbly equipped kitchen has been designed with large groups in mind, offering generous work surfaces, a large island with stools, two full-size ovens, ceramic hob, microwave, large fridge freezer and an excellent selection of cookware and equipment.

Immediately next door is The Mazot, a unique and characterful property beautifully converted from its previous life as a traditional alpine barn.

Arranged over three floors, The Mazot retains original beams and charming architectural features while offering all the comforts of modern accommodation. On the lower level is a large heated utility and storage area with washing facilities and plenty of room for skis, boots and bikes, as well as the first ensuite bedroom. Also on this level is a private 2-person sauna – perfect after a day skiing, walking or biking in the mountains.

Upstairs, the light and welcoming open-plan kitchen, dining and living space provides a cosy retreat from the larger chalet. The fully equipped kitchen includes dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, Nespresso machine and both raclette and fondue equipment.

The lounge features a deep, comfortable sofa, log-burning fire, Smart TV and a small reading area, with lovely mountain views adding to the cosy alpine atmosphere. The sofa can also provide sleeping space for an additional guest, allowing the combined property to accommodate up to 17 people.

A spiral staircase leads to The Mazot's top-floor master suite.

Please note that the upper two floors of the main Chalet Moccand building form a separate, self-contained apartment with its own private entrance, occasionally used by the owners or their guests. They may use the swim spa at a separate time.

Chalet Moccand provides five spacious bedrooms across two levels. On the entrance level is a cosy twin bedroom with an ensuite shower room featuring a large 120cm shower and sink. There are mountain views, a small wardrobe and storage space, while a separate WC is located next to the bedroom in the hallway.

The first floor offers four further spacious bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms featuring baths and/or large showers, vanity units and a mixture of stone and wood-effect tiles. At the front of the chalet are two beautifully furnished master bedrooms with super king-size beds (180cm wide), which can be arranged as twins with prior notice. Both enjoy a south-facing aspect through French doors opening onto the balcony, with superb mountain, garden and waterfall views.

Also on this level is a double ensuite bedroom with shower room and alpine views all the way down the valley, plus a quad bedroom with two full-sized sets of bunk beds, wardrobe and under-bed storage. Each bedroom provides ample hanging and storage space, with large windows allowing in plenty of natural light and offering mountain views.

Bedrooms 6 and 7 are located in The Mazot. Bedroom 6 is on the ground floor and is a charming twin ensuite bedroom with a large walk-in shower, sink and WC. Storage is provided in two cabinets, along with shelves and a hanging ladder.

A spiral staircase leads from The Mazot's living area to Bedroom 7, a cosy yet spacious master suite with a queen-size four-poster bed and modern ensuite bathroom with integrated shower, full-sized bath, sink and WC. Velux windows provide views towards the famous Criou mountain, while ample built-in hanging and cupboard space has been cleverly incorporated around the original beams.

The sofa bed in The Mazot's lounge offers additional sleeping for one guest, allowing the combined property to accommodate up to 17 people.

A cot and high chair can be supplied on request.

Chalet Moccand and The Mazot enjoy a peaceful setting surrounded by outdoor space, despite being just a few minutes' walk from Samoëns village centre.

Chalet Moccand has a large, flat and sunny garden with mature apple trees providing welcome shade during the summer months. There's plenty of space for children to play, while outdoor dining furniture and a BBQ make the garden ideal for relaxed summer lunches and evenings outside.

A major highlight is the impressive 4.5m / 15ft swim spa. One end provides spa-style seating, jets and bubbles for relaxing, while powerful adjustable contra-current jets at the other allow you to swim against the current. Warm and inviting during winter and refreshing in summer, it is heated and available throughout the year until 9pm each evening.

The Mazot has its own south-westerly terrace with table and chairs for outdoor dining, two deckchairs and a BBQ. A second small outdoor area to the front catches the morning sun.
