Chalet Balthazar - Samoens

You enter Chalet Balthazar into a spacious entrance area which offers excellent storage for outdoor footwear and clothing. Carry on further into the property, and you enter the open plan kitchen, dining and living area, which is illuminated by a large window overlooking the gardens with beautiful views of distant farmland and mountains beyond. A comforting warmth can be felt radiating from grey slate floor tiles, which contrast wonderfully against the textured wood clad walls. The modern, fully equipped kitchen features a full size electric fan oven, 4 ring ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave and granite work surface area, as well as luxurious extras such as a Nespresso coffee machine. In the dining area a beautiful chunky wood dining table, comfortably seating up to 10 people, rests below an attractive suspended light while offering more great views from the large east facing window. In the first of two separate living areas, a comfortable sofa offers a space to rest weary legs in front of the cosy, crackling log fire which takes centre stage in this room. An LCD TV can be found in this area.

A real highlight of Chalet Balthazar is the vast lower level which combines a games room, home cinema and second living area to create a wonderful space to be enjoyed by the whole group. At one end of the room, guests will find a pool table while at the other is an enormous and very comfortable corner sofa which provides a luxurious vantage point to enjoy the large 152cm LCD TV with Blu-ray player, surround sound speakers and Xbox 360 games console. This sofa can be also be converted into a double bed.  Also located in the lower ground floor is a combined washing / drying machine. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Chalet Balthazar is a semi-detached chalet, connected to  4 bedroom chalet - Chalet Jeroboam.  For larger groups, both chalets can be booked together sleeping 18 in total.

Chalet Balthazar offers 4/5 bright and spacious bedrooms each featuring high quality linen, luxurious throws, local décor, and a clever splash of vibrant colour. The rooms have been thoughtfully designed to ensure four of these bedrooms feature floor to ceiling windows to generate a bright and uplifting atmosphere, while also offering fabulous views.  Each of the rooms have black out electric shutters, to ensure a secure and good nights sleep can be enjoyed at all times.

Bedroom 1 is an impressive ensuite room boasting stunning views towards towering snowy peaks beyond vast open farmland. The room has a lovely calm feel and features a king size bed (can be configured as twin beds on request), with a soft weaved bed throw and a carved wooden picture above.  The ensuite bathroom guests will find a shower, vanity unit with sink, and WC. Good storage is provided by a wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Bedroom 2 is a spacious queen bedroom featuring a real chic alpine design, with the luxury of an ensuite bathroom. From the comfortable queen size bed bed, enjoy wonderful views from west facing sliding doors. Good storage is provided by a large chest of drawers and hanging space. In the ensuite bathroom, guests will find a shower, vanity unit with sink, and WC.

Bedroom 3 is a very spacious king bedroom with ensuite bathroom (can be configured as twin beds on request). The room has been beautifully decorated with luxurious throws, large cosy cushions and an intricate tapestry stool. The ensuite bathroom offers a shower, vanity unit with sink, and WC. Great storage is available in a wardrobe and a beautifully carved chest of drawers.

Bedroom 4, is a lovely bright and fresh twin bedroom, again with great views.  This room has the flexibility to be configured as a king bedroom on prior request.  This bedroom features an ensuite bathroom featuring a bath with integrated shower, vanity unit with sink, and WC, while shelving offers good storage.

The lower living area/snug features a double sofa bed and can therefore be used as a spacious and comfy fifth bedroom.

Chalet Balthazar boasts a flat lawned garden which surrounds two sides of the chalet and is home to the lovely bubbly hot tub.  This benefits from day long sunshine due to the chalet's fabulous location on the wide valley floor. The garden provides a wonderful place to play or relax at any time of the year, with stunning views to spectacular waterfalls and towering alpine peaks and ridges. A covered walkway leads to the private hot tub, perfect after a long day in the mountains.

Ski storage is provided in a locked cupboard while a private driveway provides off street parking for 4 cars. There is also the added benefit of a secure barn, large enough to store bikes, and all outdoor equipment.
