Chardons Argentes D10 is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment situated in the quiet corner of a prestigious MGM development. The bright and spacious apartment sleeps up to 8 people in great comfort and style. Located in a prime position, Chardons Argentes D10 offers guests peace and tranquillity and yet is just 5 minutes walk from the bustling centre of Samoëns.

A major feature of Chardons Argentes D10 is its private, indoor 'residents only' swimming pool, which is open all year round. The apartment is also ideally located to enjoy all that Samoëns has to offer without need of a vehicle.

A scenic 5-minute walk will take you to the very centre of Samoëns, with its many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The tourist office and brand new ice-skating rink are within 400m, and the nearest free ski bus stop is only 50m away. Alternatively, the Grand Massif Express Gondola is an easy 10 minute walk, and if you chose to use one of our partner rental shops, ski equipment storage is available at the top or bottom of the ski lift. Should you choose to visit Samoëns in summer, the outdoor pools, lakes, tennis courts and adventure park are all an easy 4 to 5-minute walk from the apartment.

The apartment boasts free parking, ski storage, and a communal bike store which can all be accessed from the apartment by a lift.

With prior agreement the apartment may accept certain pets, however a further enhanced professional cleaning charge will apply.

Chardons Argentes D10 is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment with a wonderfully spacious and bright feel. Cleverly designed across two floors, the apartment sleeps up to 8 guests in 85m2 of tastefully decorated accommodation. 

As you enter the apartment, you immediately feel the sense of space created by the open-plan design of the living, kitchen and dining areas directly opposite you. Light comes in through double glassed doors, the room’s bright and airy feel further enhanced by the tall ceilings of the living room space.

The entrance hallway itself provides guests with ample room for storage with its large built-in wardrobe. There is a separate WC to the left of the front door and the first of 3 bedrooms immediately on the right. This room is an ensuite double (140cm x 190cm). The two remaining bedrooms, both twin singles, are situated upstairs. They share a large bathroom with bath, overhead shower and WC. The second floor is a completely private space for the 4 guests accommodated upstairs.

Straight ahead and through into the open-plan area is a fully equipped kitchen with 4-burner, ceramic hob, multi-function convection oven/microwave, dishwasher, full-sized fridge/freezer and filter coffee machine. The kitchen is designed to take up the entire length of the left side of this room, and as such provides ample preparation space for the budding chef on a long kitchen worktop. There is plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware, and also a good selection of pots and pans, as well as ceramic and Pyrex baking dishes.

Sit and enjoy your meals at the solid wooden dining table with matching bench seats, while you look upon the pistes of Vercland across the valley. Through the double glassed doors is your balcony, where a second outdoor dining setting with seating for six is installed. Here, you can enjoy better views of the pistes and also Pic de Marcelly down the valley. There are also two deck chairs on the balcony, where you sit back, relax and soak up the alpine atmosphere in the warmer months.

The apartment’s living room is a very comfortable space. The large, corner settee is also a double sofa bed. An additional armchair of soft tartan upholstery provides further seating, and there are also 2 small, fur-trimmed, wooden stools. All furnishings are of the highest quality and their classic alpine design really adds to the cosy, mountain feel of the living space. Wi-Fi is of course available throughout the apartment and there is also a large LCD television with Satellite, DVD player and Bose stereo with CD player.

The apartment is also fitted with a combination washer/dryer for your convenience. This is located upstairs in the second bathroom. In the basement level of the apartment complex is a private ski locker, as well as a large, communal bike store. The basement level is also serviced by the lift or stairs, as is the apartment located on the second floor.

Chardons Argentes D10 boasts 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, plus an additional WC. The first bedroom, a spacious double (140cm x 190cm), is located on the entrance level of the apartment. This bedroom affords a lovely view of the Bourgeoise mountain summit overlooking Samoëns, as well as the picturesque Chateaux du Berouze and lake situated behind the Chardons Argentes residence. Guests have ample storage room in a large built-in wardrobe, as well as additional hanging space on a rack fitted to the bedroom door. Two bedside tables with lamps add a touch of warmth to the room. The ensuite shower room with its stylish modern design boasts a sink with vanity unit, and a heated towel rail. The separate WC is located just opposite the bedroom, across the entrance hall.

Climbing to the upper level guests will find the apartment’s second and third bedrooms, both twin rooms with full-sized single beds. The second room is lit by a large skylight during the day. By night it is warm and cosy, a small bedside table with lamp and fluffy throws adding to its snug feel. The room has a chest of drawers and space under the beds for guests to stow empty suitcases. There is also hanging space provided by the rack fitted to the bedroom door.

Just along the hallway is the third bedroom, another twin room with full-sized single beds. This room boasts a large, built-in wardrobe as well as under-bed storage space. It also affords a lovely view of Samoëns’ hillside chalets, which sit below the impressive Criou peak.

The two upper level bedrooms of the apartment are served by a large family bathroom with bath and integrated shower, sink with large vanity unit, towel radiator and WC. This bathroom is also where the combination washer/dryer is located.

A major feature of the Chardons Argentes residence is of course its private, ‘residents-only’ swimming pool. Situated just a short 30m walk down the path from Chardons Argentes D-block, the indoor, heated swimming pool is open year-round.

The apartment boats its own private balcony. Located on the side of the building, the balcony provides the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful moment in a quieter corner of the Chardons Argentes development. Look upon the pistes of Vercland across the valley, and pine-topped mountains toward Morillon. The balcony also affords a lovely view of the distant Pic de Marcelly. This is the perfect setting to relax and watch the sun set after a busy day in the mountains, or enjoy your dinner ‘al fresco’ style from your outdoor dinner setting, which comfortably seats six.

The Chardons residence has ample free parking, and guests at D10 also benefit a private ski locker, and a communal bike store.

The Chardons Argentes residence is located in a fantastic position within the village of Samoëns. Offering guests absolute convenience but in a tranquil setting situated at the end of a quiet Samoëns street, Chardons Argentes D10 is the perfect year-round holiday destination.

The historic Samoëns village centre is only 400m away, a short flat walk. Here, you can enjoy the many independent shops, bars and restaurants, stroll through the beautiful botanical gardens, or simply admire the ancient buildings around the medieval town square. Don’t forget to visit the bustling Wednesday morning market!

The village tourist office is only 400m away. In the winter months the free and regular ski buses leave from just 50m away, taking you to the main Grand Massif Express lift and access to our impressive ski domain in a matter of minutes. Samoëns’ competition standard ice-skating rink is also a 400m stroll from the property, offering guests another favourite winter pastime.

In the summer, a short 400m walk will take you to the beautiful Bois Aux Dames lakes and leisure facilities. Make the most of the weather and enjoy the summer pools, tennis courts, golf driving range, horse riding, fishing and more. The Grand Massif Express lift is also open throughout July and August, allowing guests access to the ample walking trails, adventurous downhill mountain biking terrain, and not to mention stunning scenery of the mountains in summer.

A large supermarket is situated just a short 2-minute drive from Chardons Argentes D10. Alternatively, you can walk to it in about 10-minutes.

About the owner

After skiing for 30 years in the French Alps in purpose built resorts we wanted to purchase an apartment in a resort that was typically French and which could be used in winter and summer seasons. Samoens fitted the bill perfectly and we purchased a MGM apartment that would accommodate our family and friends. We have spent several winter and summer seasons here and have not been disappointed. The apartment lends itself to cozy evenings in after skiing or sitting on the west facing balcony soaking up the sun whilst having an aperitif. We love coming to Samoens and hope that you enjoy being here as much as we do . Andy and Liz
