Ecrins A18 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment situated in the prestigious MGM development, Ecrins Etoilés. This beautifully decorated second floor apartment, which is accessed via a lift, sleeps 4-6 guests in total comfort. The 52m2 interior is stylish and modern in design and yet provides a warm, alpine feel. Ecrins 18A is in a prime location right by the centre of Samoëns, and yet the building is set in private and expansive grounds, offering guests a perfect mix of peace and convenience for their year round holidays.

A mere 50m away is Samoëns’ historic main square with its many shops, cafes, bakeries and restaurants. The ski bus stops are 50m away during the school holidays and for a service all winter, there is a further stop 150m away.  Free buses run regularly during the winter months and take just 2 minutes to reach the Grand Massif Express ski lift. Alternatively, the Grand Massif Express Gondola is a gentle 10 minute walk, and if you chose to use one of our partner rental shops, ski equipment storage is available at the top or bottom of the ski lift. There is ample private parking at the apartment complex should you wish to drive. As well as a small above ground car park, there is a private allocated parking space in the secure underground garage. Guests can also make use of a secure and private ski locker. Both the garage and ski locker are serviced by a lift.

Ecrins 18A is a quaint 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment that is cleverly designed over 52m2 of living space. This charming yet modern apartment has been lovingly decorated to assure total comfort for its 4/6 guests. The apartment, which is located on the second floor and serviced by a lift, is equipped to an excellent standard with both traditional and modern furnishings and fittings.

As you enter the apartment a custom made wooden bench seat provides a space to sit while you remove shoes and coats. Throughout the house you will find other custom made items such as a large box framed mirror in the master bedroom. Leaving the entrance hall you enter the apartment’s open plan living, dining and kitchen area, a luminous space that makes for a very convivial environment.

The kitchen is fully equipped with 4 ring ceramic hob, full size oven, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and all the cooking equipment you could need. Enjoy your meals at the locally sourced wooden dining table with seating for six. In the warmer months you may prefer to dine ‘al fresco’ on the large balcony leading off the lounge, where a modern outdoor setting is provided. The lounge has a comfortable sofa which can also be used as a double sofa bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. For your entertainment there is a large flat screen TV, Playstation 2, Wi-Fi, DVD player and CD player. There is a selection of DVDs which have also been provided for your use. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are also supplied.

Ecrins 18A boasts two bedrooms, both of which have been lovingly decorated to make sure you feel right at home in the mountains. The master bedroom is a spacious double which provides under-bed storage as well as a double built-in wardrobe. The second bedroom is a twin and it has its own en suite shower room fitted with a vanity unit with single basin. There is a separate WC located in the entrance hall for your convenience. The second bathroom is the family bathroom which is fitted with a bath, integrated shower, and a large vanity unit that houses the washing machine. Heated towel radiators are fitted and there is ample space to unpack all of your toiletries.

Ecrins Etoilés is set back from the road in private grounds just a short walk to the centre of Samoëns.  Leading off the lounge of Ecrins 18A is a large balcony accessed via French doors. Enjoy an aperitif or light meal in the warmer months whilst enjoying views of the beautiful Criou Mountain or the main square with its medieval church.

The apartment has its own secure private underground parking space as well as a small aboveground car park should you require additional parking. Guests also benefit from a private and secure ski and equipment locker.

Ecrins 18A is ideally located. Offering great convenience to guests and yet peaceful in its surrounds, this apartment is the ideal destination for year-round holidays to the Alps.

Ecrins 18A is only 50m from Samoëns’ village centre, with its many shops, bars, restaurants, the beautiful botanical gardens, and picturesque medieval town square. Here, you can admire the stunning church that features original 13th and 15th century stonework, or wander around the bustling Wednesday morning market.

In the winter, it will take only 10-minutes to walk from the apartment to the main Grand Massif Express lift, which allows access to our impressive skiing domain. Alternatively, jump on the free and regular ski bus that leaves from the stop just 150m away and will have you to the lifts in 2-minutes. Or for a novel experience during the peak season, catch the Septi-train which stops only 50m away, taking you to the ski lift! It leaves from just off the main square. Another favourite winter activity is ice-skating and Samoëns’ newly built 600m2 ice skating complex is little more than a 5-minute walk from the apartment.

In the summer, a number of great alpine walking and mountain bike trails can be accessed within minutes of the apartment. And road cyclists can attempt the famous Col de Joux Plane climb, which starts just through the square, on the other side of the village. The Grand Massif Express lift also operates throughout July and August, allowing guests easy access to the higher mountain trails and downhill mountain biking terrain.

We have had a fantastic experience here in Samoens. The apartment is beautifully furnished and well equipped. There were plenty of things to do in the area, we have had a thoroughly enjoyable time and we (the other party members 11B and 9C) have already been discussing coming back next year. I would like to thank all the staff at Alps Accommodation for being do helpful, from booking all the rooms, answering every email quickly with all the information I requested, to being shown round by Gil and the lovely couple who assisted us mid-week with cleaning/changeover.
