Chardons Argentes C2 is a luxury alpine-styled apartment in a quiet but central corner of historic Samoens. The apartment, named Apartment Jacana has 2 spacious bedrooms and is situated in a prestigious complex which benefits from its own ‘residents only’ swimming pool, open all year.

The apartment is an ideal position within the complex with views from the terrace and communal landscaped garden reaching from beautiful old farmhouses to the distant mountains of the ski area. A 5 minute walk takes you to the shops, cafes and restaurants in the very centre of Samoens. The Tourist office is a 400m stroll from the apartment as is the free ski bus stop, crèche and ice rink. The Grand Massif Express Gondola is an easy 10 minute walk, and if you chose to use one of our partner rental shops, ski equipment storage is available at the top or bottom of the ski lift. Should you choose the warm summer months for your holiday in Samoens, you will find the beautiful lakes, tennis courts, adventure parks and outdoor swimming pool a mere 4-5 minute walk from your door.

The apartment also boasts private underground parking, a ski locker and a communal bike store all accessed from the apartment via a lift.

This property is privately owned and has been carefully selected to be in Alps Accommodation’s premier portfolio. It has a Saturday changeover day, however in low season and for last minute bookings, flexible arrival day and length of stay may be available. Contact us for more information.



Chardons Argentes C2 is a beautifully decorated 2 bedroom apartment consisting of 58m2 of luxury accommodation. On entering the apartment guests can make use of great hanging and storage space in the main entrance corridor.

The open plan kitchen, living and dining areas produces a spacious and convivial area with light flooding in from the large doors leading out to the terrace and gardens. The dining area provides comfortable seating for up to 7 people with an extendable table and lovely views out through the double French windows.

The superbly equipped and high quality kitchen comes with a full size fridge/freezer, fan oven / microwave, dishwasher and plenty of workspace and storage. Everything you need to produce the perfect meal after a day in the mountains!

The living area boasts a large, comfortable 4 seat sofa with an equally comfortable armchair, both look towards the large LCD TV with DVD player. The apartment comes equipped with Wi-Fi, a selection of DVDs, board games and books which will keep the whole family entertained.

One of the highlights of Chardons C2 are the 2 spacious bedrooms which have been beautifully decorated to give a real ‘homely’ feel. The master bedroom comes in either a king or twin arrangement and has its own shower room and vanity unit. The triple bedroom is a fantastic space with comfortable bunk beds, Xbox 360 and games, a giant bean bag, and plenty of floor space. A great play area for the younger (or older) members of the group!

Directly opposite the bedrooms we have a large family bathroom with bath, integrated shower, a large vanity unit with basin and ample storage. Also in the bathroom is a washing machine and dryer.  Next to this bathroom is a separate W.C



Chardons Argentes C2 boasts a terrace on ground level which opens out directly onto communal landscaped gardens in a secluded corner of the development. Therefore this is ideal area for the kids to kick a ball, throw a frisby or build a snowman! Wonderful views can be enjoyed from the neighbouring farmhouses to the impressive mountains and pistes of the ski area.  Guests can make use of the ample outdoor parking, or private underground parking, along with ski locker and communal bike store. A brief 100m walk from the apartment takes you to the impressive ‘residents only’ indoor swimming pool. The pool has changing facilities and is open all year round so no matter which season you to choose to visit Samoens, you can end your day with a relaxing swim!

The Chardons Argentes residence is located in a fantastic position within the village of Samoëns. Offering guests absolute convenience but in a tranquil setting situated at the end of a quiet Samoëns street, Chardons C2 is the perfect year-round holiday destination.

The historic Samoëns village centre is only 400m away, or a flat 5-minute walk. Here, you can enjoy the many shops, bars and restaurants, stroll through the beautiful botanical gardens, or simply admire the ancient buildings around the medieval town square. Don’t forget to visit the bustling Wednesday morning market.

The village tourist office is only 400m away. In the winter months the free and regular ski buses leave from just 50m away, taking you to the main Grand Massif Express lift and access to our impressive ski domain in a matter of minutes. Samoëns’ newly built ice skating rink is also a mere 150m stroll from the property, offering guests another favourite winter pastime.

In the summer, a short 400m walk will take you to the beautiful Bois Aux Dames lakes and leisure facilities. Make the most of the weather and enjoy the summer pool, tennis courts, golf driving range, horse riding, fishing and more. The Grand Massif Express lift is also open throughout July and August, allowing guests access to the ample walking trails, adventurous downhill mountain biking terrain, and not to mention stunning scenery of the mountains in summer.

A large supermarket is situated just a short 2-minute drive from Chardons C2. Alternatively, you can walk to it in about 10-minutes. Just next-door to the supermarket is Samoëns’ River Bowl, a bowling alley with restaurant and bar that’s open year-round.

We have had a wonderful stay in Samoens! The accommodation, town, resort and snow made it an ideal holiday destination for our Spring break. The apartment was so very well-equipped and met all of our requirements and was so convenient to the bus stop(s), the town and the Carrefour. The welcome pack was also very much appreciated and Tim explained everything very well on our arrival. We loved every minute of our holiday.

We had a wonderful family holiday in Samoens. So much to do for all of the family, in a beautiful location. We went up cable cars and chair lifts, did walks at Sixt Fer a Cheval (stunning), hired bikes, did horse rides, filled a lake with golf balls, dined out……The apartment was perfect for us, with a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. Wow, we have had a truly amazing time and have fallen in love with Samoens.  Your apartment is beautiful and so well equipped....I was delighted to find sharp knives as I had forgotten to bring mine !! TRULY SUPERB!! We've been to Samoens many times over the years but this is by far the best apartment we've stayed in! The owners were extremely helpful in sorting out our booking, and they've obviously taken great care in furnishing and equipping the apartment so that it's a real 'home-from-home' . Theres plenty of nice little touches, and everything is of really good quality. We've also not stayed anywhere with a swimming pool before, so found that a really nice thing to have access to, particularly as it is very tastefully done and spotlessly clean.

About the owner

Originally from Scotland and England, we have been working in aid and development for the last 20 years in Pakistan, Malawi, Nepal, Bangladesh, Zambia, briefly Brussels and now Kenya.  We first came to Samoens 6 years ago to meet old friends for our first skiing holiday and kept coming back.  Samoens is a lovely, friendly village and the physical environment is wonderful in winter and summer.  It has also been an easy place for us to get to wherever we were based as it’s so close to Geneva.  As a result, we finally took the plunge this year and bought this apartment.  It will be our base for 2-4 weeks a year for spending time with our friends (and, increasingly, their friends!), skiing (kids are making great progress, adults happy if remain upright), enjoying a ‘real’ winter (skating, seeing our breath in the air, gluhwein and après ski) and walking, cycling and exploring the area in the summertime.  Our children love the freedom they have here to roam around and we all really like the actual complex, especially the pool and our big garden space.   We hope you enjoy being in Samoens as much as we do!
