Apartment Jardin Alpin is a superb top-floor loft style apartment, with the benefit of being ski in/ski out, or in summer offering direct access to biking and hiking trails.  Serviced conveniently by a lift, its elevated position offers stunning valley views to the front and rear.  The apartment is superbly located in the centre of Morillon 1100 Les Esserts.  The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, ideal for small groups or families of 6/8 people.

With floor to ceiling glazing, under floor heating, exposed wood beams and sloping roof lines, the apartment has a lovely bright feel, as well as providing great convenience to its guests with the restaurants, shops, bars, crèche and skiing all on the doorstep. The apartment also benefits from Wi-Fi and UK TV through the Internet.  The apartment has been furnished beautifully with modern alpine decor.

Apartment Jardin Alpin benefits from a private underground parking space and a ski locker.

Description

Jardin Alpin Living Area - Morillon 1100

The interior is tastefully and comfortably furnished throughout the light and spacious 87m2. The living area is open plan with UK TV through the internet, HIFI, Wi-Fi, and DVD player.  There is a large comfy sofa which converts to a double bed, comfy armchairs, a large cow hide rug.  This area also offers access onto one of the two large balconies, furnished with table and chairs to enjoy the stunning views. The dining area with large wooden dining table, offers magical alpine views. A raclette machine is provided for the cheese lovers! There is a superbly equipped kitchen area with a 4-ring ceramic hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee-maker, kettle, ample crockery and utensils plus the luxury of a bean to cup coffee machine.

An iron and ironing board are supplied as well as two hairdryers, plus a cot and high chair can be provided on request.

Please note, that on occasion supplements may apply to groups of five or more adults on lower priced/discounted weeks.

Bedroom one is the ensuite master bedroom with an impressive 10m2 private balcony. A bright and uplifting atmosphere is generated as light floods in through a large glass window and door which lead out to a balcony offering outstanding alpine views. The ensuite bathroom consists of a bath with integrated shower, vanity unit with sink, towel radiator and WC. Ample storage is provided by a large built in wardrobe.

Bedroom two is also a light double bedroom with a velux window. A spacious built-in wardrobe provides great storage.

The third bedroom is a twin/triple room with sloping ceilings and a window offering wonderful valley views. The third bed is only suitable for a child as it is shorter than a standard bed and located in the eaves of the room, so limited head height, but lovely and cosy! All bedrooms have hand built wooden storage areas, with hanging under the eaves and bedside tables. This room comes complete with a kids snug area with Playstation and games.

There is a family bathroom with bath and integrated shower, sink and toilet located next door.

A cot and high chair are available.

Apartment Jardin Alpin boasts two spacious balconies which provide stunning panoramic views over the Haute Giffre valley. The first balcony is accessed from the open plan living and dining areas via glass doors which take you out onto a long 20m2 balcony. The second 10m2 balcony is accessed by a private door leading from the ensuite master bedroom. Enjoy outstanding views from either balcony as you gaze over the Haute Giffre valley to the majestic alpine scenery beyond. As the sun sets and the ever-impressive Criou mountain turns pink, enjoy a delightful meal on the table and chairs provided.

The apartment has a private underground parking space and ski locker (which requires you to bring a padlock).

Apartment Jardin Alpin is situated right in the heart of the car-free centre of Morillon 1100 Les Esserts. Offering immediate access to all the mountain has to offer, the apartment is an ideal winter or summer holiday destination.

In winter, Apartment Jardin Alpin is ideally placed for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts with the slopes and ski lifts just a short walk from your front door. You can ski back home down the famous tree-lined, green Marvel run, and then enjoy a well-earned drink on your balcony. As well as giving you direct access to the pistes, the village bars, restaurants, bakery, a small supermarket, and other shops are all right on your doorstep.

In summer, the apartment provides a great base for hiking and mountain biking. A nearby chairlift operates throughout July and August, allowing quick and easy access to the higher mountain trails during the height of summer. Many walking and biking trails can of course be accessed direct from the apartment, without any need to take the lifts.

The main village of Morillon with its many other amenities, and also Lac Bleu leisure park is just a short drive down the mountain from Les Esserts. For further information about all that Morillon has to offer, please see our resort information page.

This apartment is in the building adjacent to the 7 bedroom Penthouse and in the same block as the 4 bedroom B11 Jardin Alpin. These would be ideal options for large groups or families travelling together and who are looking for accommodation within the one convenient location.

The apartment’s location will sell it every time. It could not be bettered. The living area was comfortable and the balcony offered a very nice view down the valley.

Our fourth stay at the apartment and it's like a home from home. Dominic, the owner, is great to deal with and this year has put in Wi-Fi and streaming UK TV. It's a great location for ski-in/ski-out, central for the shops and food, and right at the bottom of the main Sairon lift. We love it!

The apartment exceeded our expectations. It’s excellent. It was warm, spacious and light. The welcome pack was a very nice touch with all the essentials covered to get us started. The beds were comfortable and good to have two good size bathrooms. The IT/TV facilities were excellent and we had no problem syncing with and using these. The wrap around balconies are enjoyable to sit out and watch the changing weather we had last week. Also the transfer company you recommended provided a seamless service.

The Eagles Nest is a modern and spacious apartment equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self catered holiday. It is perfectly positioned in the small village of Morillon 1100, only two minutes walk to the chairlift and, for families with young children, a hop skip and jump from the ski school and garderie. The apartment is very child friendly too. We had a great ski holiday here and very much hope to return!

This was the second time we've stayed here, which says a lot. Morillon is perfect for families and offers a huge range of skiing across the Grand Massif. The apartment has a great location, right in the centre of the village, and is genuinely ski to door. Located at the foot of the main Sairon lift it's close to everything you need. It's warm, comfy and spacious. We love it.

The apartment is a lovely place to relax after a good day's skiing. It is great to relax on the sofas after a good meal. Our family of four shared with another family of three and there was plenty of space for us not to be on top of each other. It is spacious and roomy and is warm, comfy and cosy at the same time. The under floor heating was fab and the location makes everything so easy.

About the Owner

I live in Nottinghamshire UK with my wife, daughter and our pet labrador, Tilly. I've always loved staying in authentic, smaller and quieter resorts. Morillon fits the bill, being very French and part of the big Grand Massif area. All year round holiday activities and lifestyle, fantastic high altitude skiing, real history and stunning scenery were powerful reasons for purchasing the apartment, as well as its top-floor penthouse feel. As well as being keen skiers, my family regularly visits in the summer - the valley is fantastic, not just for the mountains but for cycling, rafting, via ferrata, high wires, the lac bleu swimming lake and beach.  Dominic.
