Food and drink is an extremely important part of your holiday. Within our portfolio of properties, we offer great flexibility to suit all tastes and requirements for both summer and winter stays. The 'Flexible Catering' offering gives you the opportunity to choose any number of evenings catered in your own property, food drop offs, full service, breakfast hampers and fully catered if required.
On nights where you are not eating in your own accommodation, you may like to sample the Samoens and Morillon local restaurants. There are around 30 local restaurants to choose from. These include cosy French Savoyard restaurants, bustling Pizzerias, informal Bistro style restaurants and even Gourmet and Nouvelle Cuisine. Here's a selection of some of the restaurants all in the village centres. We recommend pre booking at peak times. All restaurants in France are now non smoking.
La Louisiane - 0033 (0)4 50 34 42 83 Bustling atmosphere, known for their fantastic wood fired Pizzas. Also serve international and Savoyard cuisine, from Tartiflettes to steaks to fish.
Le Monde a L'Enverse - 0033 (0)4 50 34 19 36 New owners, with a Swedish chef who will go to the ends of the earth to make sure you have a tasty and well presented meal. A unique international menu, plenty of dishes have an Asian twist.
La Table de Fifine - 0033 (0)4 50 34 10 29. Beautiful Savoyard restaurant. Very cosy and lovely atmosphere. Excellent food, with lots of cheese and meat dishes. Well priced and very friendly and attentive owners. For a romantic evening, you can reserve one of their 2 person boothes!
La Tornalta - 0033 (0)4 50 34 98 68 Intimate and cosy French Savoyard restaurant. Expect lots of delicious cheese dishes and well priced set menus.
Le Serac - 0033 (0)4 50 34 45 18 Rustic, great value, informal and bustling atmosphere. Savoyard dishes and Pizzas dominate the menu here.
Mezzanine - 0033 (0)4 50 53 65 22 Mainly French and European dishes, specialising in meats and fish, in lovely decor. It has an experimental chef and is well worth a visit. Website: www.mezzaninesamoens.com
La Clarine - 0033 (0)4 50 34 40 11 Great value Savoyard restaurant with simple alpine decor. Situated behind a popular bar with the same name. Meat and cheese dishes are popular here.
Au Rendez-Vous de la Piaz - 0033 (0)4 50 34 10 98 A very reasonably priced cosy restaurant with a very helpful and friendly owner. Serves local dishes and lovely bruschettas with a variety of toppings. Open for lunch too and well worth a visit.
Aux Becs Au Fleurs - 0033 (0)4 50 54 40 68 Traditional French restaurant specialising in Parisian cusine. Top quality produce, beautifully presented dishes, yet very good value. Friendly service.
8M des Monts - 0033 (0)4 50 21 30 01 A lovely cosy bistro with a fresh new menu every day. Run by a passionate local couple, fluent in English. They specialise in local and organic produce and deliver a delightful combination of dishes. Carefully selected quality wines.
La Fandioleuse - 0033 (0)4 50 34 98 28 Excellent range of savory and sweet crepes. Very cosy atmosphere and you must try the cider out of the bowl!
Le Bois de Lune - 0033 (0)4 50 34 18 02 A classy restaurant with a good selection on the menu.
Au Relais Septimontain - 0033 (0)4 50 34 42 19 A typical Savoyard restaurant, reasonably priced with good service and extensive menu.
Neige et Roc - 0033 (0)4 50 34 40 72 Award winning, part of the 3 star Hotel, traditional decor, varied Savoyard menu.

Samoens also has a range of cafes and bars open throughout the daytime and evening, so whether its afternoon tea, apres ski or dancing the night away, the village provides what your are looking for. Although Samoens is not renowned for it's wild nightlife, there are certainly some lively bars to visit. There is an Irish bar www.coveysirishpub.com open until the early hours and a handful of friendly French bars, so if you want some nightlife, there is certainly some to be found!
Supermarkets and specialist food stores in the area are plentiful. If you wish to shop before arriving in Samoens, there is a Carrefour supermarket in Cluses (20 minutes before Samoens) on the way up the hill. Normally open 8.30am-8.30pm, with the exception of Sundays. www.carrefour.fr Tel: 0033 (0)4 50 98 26 73. On the edge of Samoens is another Carrefour Market, which is a great sized supermarket, 0pen 8.15-7.15pm, weekdays and non stop on Saturday. Also peak winter season on Sunday mornings. Within the village centre there are 2 small supermarkets open 7 days per week normally with 2 hours lunchtime closing. In addition a super fruit and vegetable store and plenty of ham, cheese, bakery, meat and chocolate shops! The majority of the shops and supermarkets are all open on Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day and other public holidays during the season. Out of season this will vary.
