Food and drink in samoens
Food and drink is an extremely important part of your holiday. Within our portfolio of properties, we offer great flexibility to suit all tastes and requirements for both summer and winter stays.
Within our large catered chalet we are able to cater for small groups and families, or for larger groups up to 18/20 people.
On nights where you are not eating in your own accommodation, you may like to sample Samoens local restaurants. There are around 20 local restaurants to choose from. These include cosy French Savoyard restaurants, bustling Pizzerias, informal Bistro style restaurants and even Gourmet and Nouvelle Cuisine. Here's a selection of some of Samoens restaurants all in the village centre. We recommend pre booking at peak times. All restaurants are non smoking.

Quite rustic, good value, informal and bustling. Savoyard dishes and Pizzas dominate the menu here.

Excellent selection of international dishes, well known for great meat dishes, with lovely atmosphere. Slightly more pricy, but worth it.

Great value restaurant, very alpine decor, situated behind a popular bar with the same name. Meat and cheese dishes are popular here.
Samoens also has a range of cafes and bars open throughout the daytime and evening, so whether its afternoon tea or apres ski drinks, the village provides what your are looking for. Although Samoens is not renowned for it's nightlife, there are certainly some lively bars to visit. There is an Irish bar www.coveysirishpub.com open until the early hours and a handful of friendly French bars, so if you want some nightlife, there is certainly some to be found!
Supermarkets and specialist food stores in the area are plentiful. If you wish to shop before arriving in Samoens, we recommend Carrefour supermarket. Normally open 8.30am-8.30pm, with the exception of Sundays. Sunday opening is available on the 23/12/08. www.carrefour.fr Tel: 0033 450 98 26 73. On the edge of Samoens is Champion supermarket www.champion.fr Open 8.15-7.15pm, weekdays and non stop on Saturday. Within the village centre there are 2 small supermarkets open 7 days per week normally with 2 hours lunchtime closing. In addition a super fruit and vegetable store and plenty of ham, cheese, bakery and meat shops.
