Food and Drink in Samoens and Morillon
Food and drink is an extremely important part of your holiday. Within our portfolio of properties, we offer great flexibility to suit all tastes and requirements for both summer and winter stays. Our 'Flexible Catering' offers you any number of evenings catered in your own property, food drop offs, full service, breakfast hampers and fully catered if required.
Within our large catered chalet we are able to cater for small groups and families, or for larger groups up to 18/20 people.
On nights where you are not eating in your own accommodation, you may like to sample the Samoens and Morillon local restaurants. There are around 30 local restaurants to choose from. These include cosy French Savoyard restaurants, bustling Pizzerias, informal Bistro style restaurants and even Gourmet and Nouvelle Cuisine. Here's a selection of some of the restaurants all in the village centres. We recommend pre booking at peak times. All restaurants in France are now non smoking.

A very reasonably priced restaurant with a very friendly owner. Serves local dishes and lovely bruschettas with a variet of toppings. Open for lunch too and well worth a visit.
Samoens also has a range of cafes and bars open throughout the daytime and evening, so whether its afternoon tea, apres ski or dancing the night away , the village provides what your are looking for. Although Samoens is not renowned for it's wild nightlife, there are certainly some lively bars to visit. There is an Irish bar www.coveysirishpub.com open until the early hours and a handful of friendly French bars, so if you want some nightlife, there is certainly some to be found!
Supermarkets and specialist food stores in the area are plentiful. If you wish to shop before arriving in Samoens, we recommend Carrefour supermarket in Cluses on the way up the hill. Normally open 8.30am-8.30pm, with the exception of Sundays. www.carrefour.fr Tel: 0033 450 98 26 73. On the edge of Samoens is Carrefour Market, which is a proper sized supermarket, 0pen 8.15-7.15pm, weekdays and non stop on Saturday. Within the village centre there are 2 small supermarkets open 7 days per week normally with 2 hours lunchtime closing. In addition a super fruit and vegetable store and plenty of ham, cheese, bakery and meat shops. The majority of the shops and supermarkets are all open on Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, New Years Day and other public holidays during the season. Out of season this will vary.

A great all round Savoyard restaurant located just off the centre of Morillon. Good value and informal friendly atmosphere. Head through the centre and just after the cobbled street, turn left towards Morillon lake and Verchaix.

Creperie and Savoyard dishes. Rustic and good value. Situated on the main high street in Morillon opposite the Chemist.

All the restaurants are located in the centre of Morillon 1100. They all serve local Savoyard dishes as well as their own specialities. All are rustic, informal, family friendly and competetively priced.
