Mountain Biking Holidays in Samoens
Samoens and the Grand Massif area is a truly spectacular location in the Alps for mountain bike holidays. Not only are there over 615km of marked trails, but 6 lifts open during the summer which together lead to spectacular downhill trails or VTT as it is called in France. There is something for every mountain biker in the summer, from black hair raising descents, to single track, valley riding and forest trails for all the family.

We can provide everything you should need including airport transfers, discounted bike hire, secure storage, lifts to the starts, area maps and so on. They have a good range of mountain bikes from family bikes rentable by the half day (9 Euros), up to full suspension, disc brake bikes for 55 Euros per day. The lifts are open during July and August in Samoens and the Grand Massif, but most of the trails are open all year as they don’t require use of the lifts. The quality of trails in the area are absolutely superb, as most entertain specialist drainage keeping them dry. There are also a number of fresh water refill areas and plenty of scenic picnic and refreshment stops along the way.

Les Carroz offers a further 9 trails ranging from 1km very easy to a 4km medium trail.
Verchaix has 5 trails, from 17 to 13km and from difficult to medium.
Magland and Passy have 12 further trails.
Not forgetting trail number 69, the 'Tour du Haut Giffre' covering the entire area, 81km long with a climb of 2520m and a descent of 3645m it has to be one of the most challenging in all the Alps.
Les Gets, Morzine and the Porte de Soleil are just 20 minutes drive away with plenty of downhill and cross country routes and dozens of lifts open.
